What this site asks you for
Nothing. There is no account, no newsletter signup, no comment box and no contact form. The site never asks you to type anything except a search term, and search runs entirely in your own browser — the index is a static file your browser downloads, and what you type into it is never sent anywhere.
What is collected automatically
Google Analytics 4
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which briefs get read. It sets cookies in your browser and reports to Google: the page you are on, the page that referred you, your approximate location (derived from your IP address, which Google truncates before storing), your device type, browser and screen size, and how far down the page you scroll. IP addresses are not stored in a form that identifies you, and the data is not used to build an advertising profile of you here.
Google AdSense
This site shows ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve those ads, to measure whether they were seen, and — where you have consented, or where local law permits it — to personalise them based on your previous visits to this and other websites. Your choices
- Turn off personalised advertising across the web at Google My Ad Center. You will still see ads here; they just will not be based on your browsing history.
- Opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised ads at aboutads.info or Your Online Choices (EU/UK).
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Nothing on this site depends on them.
- Install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on to stop Google Analytics on every site, including this one.
Children
This site is written for professional readers and is not directed at children under 13. It does not knowingly collect information from them.
