Wraith is built to keep your data on your device. We do not operate servers that receive your content, we do not require an account, and we do not collect, sell, or share personal information. This policy explains what that means in practice.
None. Wraith has no user accounts and no analytics or tracking SDKs. Your conversations, documents, tasks, notes, and any data you create stay in local storage on your device. We have no ability to access them.
Wraith runs open-source AI models directly on your device. Chat, document reading, transcription, and other core features work entirely offline once the necessary model files are downloaded. Wraith does not use any third-party AI service — there is no cloud model, no API key, and no server of ours that receives your prompts or your content.
Data leaves your device only for the features listed below, only when you ask for them, and only after you have granted permission on first launch. Until you grant it, Wraith's No-Egress lock is engaged and no network request is made at all; you can re-engage it at any time in Settings → Privacy, and review or change your choice under Settings → Privacy → Data sharing.
Because Wraith has no accounts, nothing sent below is associated with your identity. Each recipient handles what it receives under its own privacy policy.
| Feature | What is sent | Who receives it |
|---|---|---|
| Web search | The search words you ask Wraith to look up | DuckDuckGo |
| Reading a result | A request for that page's address, so its text can be read on your device | The website you open |
| Image search | The subject you asked to illustrate | Wikimedia Commons, Openverse |
| Paper search | The research topic you searched for | arXiv |
| Medical literature search | The search terms — never anything from a patient chart or note | PubMed (NCBI) |
| Bus & MRT status | A public bus-stop code or train-line name — nothing about you | LTA DataMall (Singapore) |
| Directions | Your start and destination, needed to compute a route | Apple Maps |
Downloading the AI model. On first launch Wraith downloads the open-source model it runs from Hugging Face, the public host for those files. This is a request for a public file and carries nothing about you — no identifier, no account, and none of your content. It happens once and the model is then stored on your device, which is why the assistant keeps working offline.
What never leaves. Your conversations, documents, notes, tasks and memories; your activity, calendar, reminders, contacts and photos; and your precise location. Place-based suggestions send only a coarse area name, never coordinates.
Wraith includes an on-device privacy ledger that shows you exactly what has left your device and where.
Wraith does not use Apple HealthKit and cannot read your Health records. If you grant Motion & Fitness access, it reads your step count on your device only, to answer questions about your day. This is never transmitted off the device.
Wraith may ask for access to the microphone, camera, location, calendar, reminders, contacts, motion, and notifications. Each is used only for the feature you invoke, is processed on-device, and none of it is transmitted to us.
Wraith is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them. Because we collect no information at all, no such data is gathered.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
